"Smaat” Hosts Google’s “Client Communication Event” in Riyadh

In “one-of-a-kind” event, Google Arabia held its annual gathering in the Saudi Digital Media & IT company “Smaat”. Through this event, Google Arabia aimed to communicate with its most important clients in the regions, as well as showcase the latest products and digital services aimed at the kingdom and the Middle Eastern market. Google's selection came as a result of a strategic partnership which combined the two companies. As a recognition of “Smaat”'s impressive regional presence in the media and digital marketing industry, as well as its achievements and high figures in number of important events and activities, the most recent of which was the Riyadh Summit.

During the event, Ziad Shehada, Marketing Director of Google MENA, has highlighted some of the important numbers and statistics about Saudi Arabia and the Arab world. Where he explained that 90% of Saudis use the Internet on a daily basis, which on a global scale is a high proportion. Shehadeh also revealed that there are about 50 to 80 million daily searches in Saudi Arabia.

According to Ahmad Al-Jbreen, General Manager of “Smaat”, the event came to confirm the place "Smaat" holds between digital media and social networking companies. "Such partnerships help establish the pace of the company's regional and global expansion", Al-Jbreen added. While Sami Al-Rasheed, CEO of “Smaat”, said that the event was organized by Google in order to enhance and strengthen its relationship with “Smaats’” clients, and promote its products and services while sharing the latest figures of digital marketing in the region.

The event, organized by Google and hosted by "Smaat" has been attended by influential officials and decision makers in number of prominent government organizations and in some local and regional companies, where they rounded up bilateral meetings with Google representatives, to discuss ways of optimizing services provided by Google. Which ultimately, is crucial in achieving Google’s objectives and communicating their message in the best way possible.
